CLI

The exohuman CLI manages agents from your terminal and CI — a focused subset of what the MCP server and REST API offer.

Requires Python 3.10 or newer:

Terminal window
pip install exohuman-cli
exohuman --version
Terminal window
exohuman init

You are asked for your instance URL (for example https://acme.exohuman.cc), your email and the 6-digit code emailed to you. The CLI stores its configuration in ~/.exohuman/config.json (readable only by you) and creates an API key for itself, which you can revoke in Settings → My account → Connect my tools.

Terminal window
exohuman login # re-authenticate the current profile
exohuman login --instance https://acme.exohuman.cc --profile production
exohuman status # current profile and instance
exohuman logout

Use named profiles for several instances:

Terminal window
exohuman profile list
exohuman profile use production
exohuman profile remove staging

Resolution order: EXOHUMAN_URL + EXOHUMAN_API_KEY environment variables → --profile flag → EXOHUMAN_PROFILE → the current profile in the config file. In CI, set the two environment variables with an API key from a service account.

Terminal window
exohuman agents list
exohuman agents get research-analyst
exohuman agents create research-analyst --template github:acme/research-analyst
exohuman agents start research-analyst
exohuman agents stop research-analyst
exohuman agents rename research-analyst market-analyst
exohuman agents delete market-analyst
Terminal window
exohuman deploy . # package and deploy the current directory
exohuman deploy . --name my-agent
exohuman deploy --repo acme/my-agent # pull-only deployment tracking a GitHub branch

A directory deploy uploads the folder’s files, always leaving out .git, node_modules, virtual environments and .env files; the archive must stay under 50 MB. The agent name comes from --name, then template.yaml, then the directory name. The first deploy writes .exohuman-remote.yaml, so later deploys from the same directory update the same agent.

Terminal window
exohuman chat research-analyst "What changed since yesterday?"
exohuman history research-analyst
exohuman logs research-analyst --tail 200
Terminal window
exohuman health fleet
exohuman health agent research-analyst
exohuman skills list
exohuman skills get weekly-report
exohuman schedules list research-analyst
exohuman schedules trigger research-analyst <schedule-id>
exohuman tags list
exohuman tags get research-analyst

Add --help to any command for its options.
