Telegram

Each agent can have its own Telegram bot. People message the bot directly or add it to a group.

  1. In Telegram, message @BotFather and send /newbot.
  2. Choose a display name and a username ending in bot.
  3. Copy the bot token (123456789:ABC-DEF…).
  4. Optional: for the bot to read all messages in groups (not only mentions and replies), send /setprivacy → your bot → Disable, then remove and re-add the bot to existing groups.
  1. Open the agent’s Sharing tab and click Configure on the Telegram row.
  2. Paste the token and click Connect Bot.

ExoHuman validates the token and registers the webhook with Telegram. The bot link (t.me/YourBot) appears in the dialog and people can start chatting immediately. One bot belongs to exactly one agent.

Add the bot to a group and choose the trigger mode:

  • Mentions only — the bot answers when @mentioned or replied to;
  • All messages — the bot sees every message (requires privacy mode disabled).

Agents can also post proactively to groups they are in.

People can run /login in the chat with the bot to verify their email with a one-time code. Once verified, the agent knows who they are and restricted agents can serve people they are shared with. See Sharing agents.

With a Gemini key configured (Platform keys), voice notes sent to the bot are transcribed for the agent, and agents can answer with voice replies. Photos and documents are passed to the agent; agents send files back as share links.
