Inviting your team

Your instance starts with one administrator: the person who signed up. Everyone else is admitted by an administrator.

  1. Open Settings → People and teams → People and invitations.
  2. In the Email whitelist, add each person’s full work email address and choose their role (default user). Entries are exact addresses — there are no domain wildcards.
  3. Tell them your instance URL. They sign in with a 6-digit code emailed to them, and their account is created with the role from their entry.

If your instance uses single sign-on, people from your allowed domains sign in through your identity provider instead.

RoleWhat they can do
userWork with agents shared with them in the Workspace: chat, Inbox, rooms, loops, voice and files. No operator UI.
operatorEverything a user can, plus the Dashboard, agent pages and Operations for agents they can access; run tasks and schedules; manage their own API/MCP keys.
creatorEverything an operator can, plus create agents and teams, choose their default runtime and connect a personal GitHub identity.
adminManage the whole instance: people and roles, integrations, model providers, policies, modules and appearance.

Most colleagues only need user: they talk to agents and answer approvals. Give creator to the people who build agents. Keep at least two admins. Full details in Users, roles & teams.

On ExoHuman Cloud, your plan’s seat limit counts every person with an account. See Usage limits & budgets.

Teams group people so you can share agents and set model policy once.

  1. A creator or admin opens Settings → People and teams → My teams and creates a team. The creator becomes Team lead.
  2. The lead adds existing members by username.
  3. Leads can delegate Manage team membership or Remove shared-agent access to a member.

Being an administrator does not make you a member of every team.

Agents are always owned by one person. To let others use an agent, its owner shares it:

  • with a person, from the agent’s Sharing tab or its Settings → People pane;
  • with a team the owner belongs to.

Sharing gives access to use the agent, not to reconfigure it, read its credentials or take ownership. Sharing with an email that has no account lets that person use the agent from the Workspace with an emailed code, without giving them an operator account.
